We live in a world of opinions, and it is perfectly okay for everyone to be entitled to his or her own conclusions.
Unfortunately, hateful social media platforms such as Hatebook (aka Facebook) foolishly think that somehow they can be the authority that decides what is fake or not. They’ll never be able to develop such technology because they just don’t understand my first statement above.
The only way of efficiently highlighting phony news is through public consensus and by allowing people to vote on every single post or comment they see on every social media platform.
It is not an authority that decides what is fake or not because that can only lead to an Orwellian dystopia where our rulers tell us what to believe. Such a determination is the responsibility of the public collectively through consensus.
